MEDITATION: Part 1

daytime-fashion-grass-1525852 Wikipedia defines Meditation as, “a practice where you use a technique, such as focusing your mind on a particular object, thought or activity, to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state.” I define Meditation as, stress relief, piece of mind, finding clarity, and being able to process my thoughts more clearly to accomplish my goals.. Meditation requires you to train your mind to focus.. I am far from an expert on Meditation but I have mastered my technique enough to reap the benefits I mentioned above.. There are tons of techniques used to meditate.. This is how I first started learning to meditate.. I was skeptical as to if I could really do it, with so many thoughts running through my mind, it seemed impossible to block them all out.. I thought, how can you make your mind a blank page with no thoughts, but I did not give up and sure enough, it works.. I started with baby steps.. Every morning before time to get up and go to work, I would set my alarm clock 30 minutes earlier to search for my inner piece.. I find it best to do things on a schedule, if possible.. First, I would have to make it down the stairs to the coffee pot, which I had set the night before.. Thank goodness for these wonderful pre-set inventions.. What would we do without them, RIGHT.. After I grabbed my first cup of joe I would head outside to the back porch where I could enjoy my surroundings and nice view.. I got in my setting position and started taking long deep breaths.. I would breathe in through my nose and exhale through my mouth.. I imagined a string tied to the ceiling lifting my chin up to a level position.. Next, I would place my hands together.. All my fingertips would touch with slight pressure.. I would close my eyes and imagine a paint brush covered in white paint coming down from the ceiling and back up from the floor.. In 2 strokes my mind would be blank.. Or white-outed.. Then, like magic, nothing.. No thoughts, stress, anxiety, fears, or worries.. I did this for a long time before I allowed any thoughts to enter my mind that I needed clarity on.. I would do this for 2 or 3 minutes multiple times during the day.. Before work, on breaks, and in the evenings.. Eventually, I got to where my mind was calm and focused and I could meditate for longer periods of time.. Through Meditation, you can improve your ability to concentrate, focus, and become more goal oriented.. This is one way to begin making change in your life.. Of course, for me, Meditation is a big stress reliever.. Once you have control over your “State of Mind” you can align your actions and behaviors, and your road to success will be endless.. https://jvz7.com/c/1123349/146957. <a href="http:////pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js
